Central Railway Station

Kraków PKP (Polish State Railways) Central Station has a long history. It was opened in 1847, in the city’s central point, just several hundred metres to the north-east from the Main Market Square. Currently, the station undergoes general remodeling, but its building itself, of historical value, will be preserved.

Many tram and bus lines run just next to the Central Station, leading to all parts of the city. In its direct vicinity there is a big shopping centre – Galeria Krakowska – equally popular among the residents of Kraków and travellers who wait to catch their trains. On the eastern side there is a bus station with bays for domestic and international buses.

Kraków Central Station is the departure point for trains to many destinations – both in Poland and abroad. The details of all rail connections can be found in the current train timetable.

It is through the Kraków Central Station as well that all trunk train routes run.
