On the Way 2 Kraków

Kraków is the second largest city in Poland (756,000 permanent residents and tens of thousands of students staying here temporarily). It is located in the south of the country, near the A4 motorway that connects Western Europe with Ukraine.
Due to its numerous attractions, Kraków draws over 8 million visitors from around the world every year. The city is a great starting point for trips to the Tatra mountains and Zakopane - the winter capital of Poland (located about 100 km from Kraków) and Krynica Górska (about 130 km). In close vicinity of Kraków there is also Wieliczka (15 km), with its unique salt mine, and Oświęcim (Auschwitz) (60 km), the place of a former Nazi concentration camp (currently: Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum).
